When you open your eyes under water everything is out of focus. A dive mask solves this problem by creating an air space between your eyes and the lenses, allowing you to see as clearly as normal.
During today’s safety boat tour up to Cape Arnautis on the Akamas Peninsula, two of the Latchi Watersports team came across a very sorry sight. They found a rather large green turtle (Chelonia-Mydas) on the north side of the popular St. George’s Island dive site completely tangled in fishing line.
Our Dive Intern Ben is still enjoying his time here with us at Latchi Watersports. He is learning something new every day. He has made a deep diver specialty video. I have now been a Latchi Dive Centre Intern for almost a month.
Each day has brought on new skills, new people, new environments and most of all new adventures. I have learned so much in the short amount of time I have been here.
My name is Callum O’Sullivan, I am 18 years old and have just finished the first month of my divemaster internship here at Latchi Dive Centre (Latchi Watersports)
The first time I ever tried diving was a try dive in Egypt in 2009. I went on to complete my Open Water Course in Cambodia in 2011.
The Dive Internship to which I signed-up turned out to be a lot more challenging than I bargained for. But, what an opportunity.
This first month at Latchi Watersports has not only been educational but also life-changing. This was my first time away from home by myself. I don't think I could have chosen a more welcoming and endearing atmosphere in which to start my dive internship.
