Looking for the first step in working with scuba as a career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, in this program, you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you not only gain additional experience as a PADI Professional scuba diver, but you also start learning the PADI System of diver education. You can act as an instructional scuba assistant and assume limited teaching responsibilities. It’s a great way to gain experience in order to become a scuba instructor! This 3-4 day course will qualify you to teach a range of PADI programs, including Bubble Maker, Seal Team, Peak Performance Buoyancy. It will also allow you to teach knowledge development sections of other PADI courses. OPEN WATER SCUBA INSTRUCTOR
This program is designed to prepare you to teach PADI course up to PADI standards. This course includes academic development sessions so that you learn about diving as a business, including marketing techniques. You will be required to present a minimum number of academic, confined water and open water sessions up to Instructor level standards. Once you have passed the OWSI program you will be ready to take the Instructor Examination, which also consists of academic, confined and open water sessions. NEW OWSI INSTRUCTOR INTERNSHIP
After the successful completion of the IDC and IE, new dive instructors can take advantage of Latchi Dive Centre's post-IE internship for two to eight weeks (or longer, if desired). This internship provides the new dive instructor invaluable first-hand experience of life as a PADI OWSI by watching and assisting the staff instructors conducting the full range of PADI diver programmes and courses.
